Monaco has decided to activate the purchase clause in the contract of Spanish player Ansu Fati, who is on loan from Barcelona, for 11 million euros. This decision comes after the impressive performances the player has delivered with the principality's team during the current season in the French league.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between the parties is in its final stages, with work underway to finalize some last details before the official announcement of the deal is made, pending the player's approval.

Barcelona will include a clause in the agreement that grants them a percentage of the player's future resale value, in a move aimed at ensuring the Catalan club benefits from any potential future transfer.

Monaco hopes that Fati will continue his development and regain his best form, after successfully attracting attention with his performance this season, convincing the French club's management to move forward with purchasing his contract permanently.
