Zamalek Club sent an official letter to the Egyptian Football Association requesting the appointment of a foreign refereeing team to officiate their upcoming match against Ceramica Cleopatra, as part of the seventh round of the final stage to determine the Premier League champion.

This request comes as part of Zamalek's management's efforts to ensure the highest levels of refereeing fairness in the decisive matches of the season, especially with the intensifying competition for the top spot in the final stage of the championship.

Zamalek secured an important 1-0 victory over Smouha in the match held at the Borg El Arab Stadium as part of the sixth round, raising their tally to 53 points and taking the lead in the group standings, while Smouha remained at 31 points in seventh place.
