The newspaper "Youm7" reported that the Palestinian Asad Al-Hamlawy, a striker for the Romanian club Craiova, has returned to the considerations of Al-Ahly club to be included in the team during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Al Ahly faces a problem in the striker position since the departure of Wissam Abu Ali to Columbus Crew in the United States last summer.

The newspaper clarified that Asad Al-Hamlawi is considered a preferred option by Al-Ahly club officials, who see him as a "promising project" to strengthen the attack and replicate the success of his compatriot Wissam Abu Ali, given his technical and physical abilities that qualify him to shine in the Century Club's jersey.

It is noted that Asad Al-Hamlawi was a candidate to join Al-Ahly in several past transfer windows, the most recent being last January, but he was not signed.
