Zamalek Defeats Smouha, Prepares for Confederation Cup Final
Zamalek coach Moatamed Gamal confirmed that his team's match against Smouha in the league was not easy, especially following the team's loss in the previous match against Al Ahly.
Zamalek defeated Smouha with a 1-0 victory, with the goal scored by Odai Al-Dabbagh in the match held on Tuesday evening during the sixth round of the title-deciding stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
In the press conference following the match, Moatamed Gamal said: "So far, we haven't achieved anything, and we will temporarily close the league chapter to focus on the CAF Confederation Cup final against Algeria's USM Alger."
The head coach explained that the pressure of matches and lack of rest put Zamalek in a difficult situation before the team departs tomorrow for Algeria to play the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final.
He praised the players' performance against Smouha, affirming that they succeeded in overcoming the psychological state after the previous match and showed a fighting spirit.
The coach revealed that he does not have precise details about the injuries of Juan Bezera and Mohamed El-Sayed, confirming that there is no time for examinations due to the tight schedule and the team's travel within hours.
