Shobier: Al Ahly Tends to Appoint an Egyptian Coach
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir, the former Al Ahly star, revealed that the management of the Red Club is leaning towards hiring an Egyptian coach.
Shobeir said on Facebook: "It's certain that the story at Al Ahly is leaning towards an Egyptian coach, and there's no better duo than Hossam El Badry and Ali Maher. So why does Al Ahly's management prefer El Badry? Because he is a strong coach with enough control, and Ali Maher has this too, but El Badry has had more than one previous experience with Al Ahly."
He added: "Could this change next season? It's possible. Maybe someone will come forward and say they'll bring in a top foreign coach and cover their salary, for example, but that's not the case right now."
Al Ahly currently holds the third position in the league championship group standings with 47 points.
