The newspaper "Youm7" reported that the car carrying the refereeing team for the Zamalek vs. Smouha match in the league was involved in a traffic accident on the highway heading towards Alexandria.
Zamalek will face Smouha this Tuesday evening in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League title playoffs.
The newspaper clarified that the car included both the Video Assistant Referee, Mohamed El-Shenawy, and the field referee, Mohamed El-Ghazi.
Sources confirmed to the newspaper that the referees are in good condition and they changed their car on the way to Borg El Arab Stadium, where the anticipated match is taking place.
The match kicks off at 8:00 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
