The English star Phil Foden, a Manchester City player, has reached a preliminary agreement to sign a new four-year contract with the club, according to "Sky Sports," as the player enters the final year of his current contract.

Foden is 25 years old, and his current contract with Manchester City is set to expire in the summer of 2027. However, the new agreement with the club will keep him until 2030, with an option to extend the contract for an additional year.

Foden is considered one of the most prominent graduates of Manchester City's academy, having made his first-team debut in 2017 at the age of 17. Since then, he has won six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, two FA Cups, and five EFL Cup titles.

During the current season, Foden has participated in 46 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists.

The 2023/2024 season was the best in his career, as he was awarded the Premier League Player of the Season and the PFA Player of the Year. However, his performance declined relatively in the last two seasons, leading to him losing his starting spot in Pep Guardiola's lineup. It is worth noting that his last goal for the team came in December.
