Jeremy Doku: The Draw Against Everton is Painful, We Will Keep Fighting
Tuesday 05-05-2026
Jeremy Doku, the star of Manchester City, spoke to the press following the 3-3 draw against Everton in the 35th round of the English Premier League, at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The player said in his interview: "We played well in the first half and created many opportunities. We know that if we don't take advantage of these chances, it will be difficult in the end."

He added, "It's clear that they are playing on their home ground, creating opportunities, and they are dangerous. They scored two goals, but I believe we gave them the win."

He emphasized, "It's good that we came back in the match because one point isn't bad in games like these."

Regarding Everton's defense positioned at the back: "It was difficult because they were controlling the penalty area. Whenever we reached the goal line, it was tough due to the large number of players there. We scored a goal, and then the field became more open. In the second half, we were too lax."

He stated, "I think we were ahead, so they started pressing more and became more aggressive as well. We had to maintain our composure in such situations. We know that one point could be crucial in the end. I'm happy to score and happy to help the team."

He concluded regarding the loss of two points: "We will see. It's painful now. There are still many matches left. We lost two points today. We will keep fighting - it's our right for ourselves and for our fans."
