Monday 04-05-2026
Barcelona continues to work on its plans to strengthen the La Masia academy, having set its sights on one of the most promising rising talents in Spanish football from the 2010 generation, Celta Vigo's midfielder David Suero. He is considered one of the standout stars in his current club's youth categories and is being closely followed by several major clubs, according to Sport newspaper.

Suiro, one of the standout products of the "A Madroa" Academy at Celta Vigo, is considered a rising star in the club. The young player, hailing from the town of Silleda, plays as a midfielder and possesses high technical skills and exceptional vision. This season, he has played twenty-one matches with the second youth team and seven matches with the first youth team, scoring two goals in each category. He has also participated in the reserve team's training, reflecting his rapid development.

Suiro is attracting interest from other clubs like Real Madrid, after the royal club previously signed Bryan Bugarin from Celta. Meanwhile, Barcelona is strongly pushing to finalize the deal despite the intense competition, especially since the player is associated with Gestifute, the agency of agent Jorge Mendes, which could facilitate negotiations in favor of the Catalan club. However, the final decision remains in the hands of the player and his family amid Celta Vigo's attempts to retain his talent.
