The management of the English club Liverpool is considering making a strong offer to sign Barcelona's French defender Jules Koundé at the end of the season, according to the "Daily Mail" newspaper.

The English club is preparing to make an offer close to 80 million euros, as they need to strengthen the right-back position, with the possibility of also relying on Koundé in the center-back position.

This interest comes at a time when Barcelona has not yet decided on the player's future, as reports indicate some questions about his performance in recent weeks, in addition to internal discussions related to the team's coach, Hans Flick.

Koundé joined Barcelona in 2022 for 50 million euros plus 10 million in variables. He is considered one of the key players in the team, and the buyout clause in his contract is valued at one billion euros after the latest renewal.

According to the report, Barcelona will not consider selling the player unless an offer of around 80 million euros is made, which is the figure currently being discussed in Liverpool's moves.

The report also indicates that Koundé has previously been linked with a move to the English Premier League on several occasions, with Liverpool renewing their interest in signing him recently.
