Details of the Cancellation of Zamalek Fans' Trip to Algeria
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir commented on the cancellation of the trip that Zamalek Club was planning to organize for fans to travel to Algeria to support the White team in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final against USM Alger.
In an unpleasant surprise, Shobier stated during his radio program this morning: "Zamalek Club had launched a special initiative to organize a trip for fans to Algeria, with the possibility of paying the cost in installments over 10 months."
He added: "The cost of the trip reached 40,000 pounds, with the fan paying 4,000 pounds monthly to be present in Algeria to support the team in the Confederation Cup final. However, the surprise was that the number of applicants for the trip did not exceed four individuals."
He continued: "Based on that, Zamalek Club had to cancel the idea, as it was not logical to carry out the trip for this limited number."
Shobeir continued: "The management did its part, and the fans cannot be blamed, as everyone has their own circumstances. Additionally, the amount is relatively large, which is why many preferred to watch the match on TV. We also appreciate the role of the Egyptian community in Algeria, who attended in good numbers during the match between CR Belouizdad and Zamalek, which ended with a 1-0 victory for the Whites."
He concluded: "I believe the idea didn't succeed this time, but that doesn't prevent it from being repeated in the future, perhaps under better circumstances and at a more suitable time."
