CAF Reveals Referee Team for Sundowns and Royal Army Clash

The Confederation of African Football announced the identity of the refereeing team that will lead the anticipated summit between South Africa's Sundowns and the Royal Army, in the first leg of the African Champions League final, in a confrontation expected to be intense on all levels.

CAF revealed the refereeing team that will manage the strong encounter between South Africa's Sundowns and the Royal Army in the first leg of the African Champions League final, with the task assigned to Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala.

He will be assisted by Julien Nguela as the first assistant and Gradel Munia as the second assistant, while Jesse Moise has been appointed as the fourth official, in a team aiming to enforce discipline in one of the strongest matches of the tournament.

At the level of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, CAF announced notable appointments, with Sudanese referee Ahmed Abdelaziz taking charge of the technical room, assisted by Libyan Ahmed Shalmani, alongside Zambian Diana Chikotesha.

The first leg match between Sundowns and the Royal Army is expected to take place on Sunday, May 17, in South Africa, starting at 3:00 PM Moroccan time, in a confrontation expected to attract wide public interest due to its significant continental value.
