Paris Saint-Germain Targets Real Madrid's Gem
Sunday 03-05-2026
Paris Saint-Germain continues its moves in the transfer market, but this time through the gateway of young talents, as it has set its sights on a player from Real Madrid's youth team, specifically the young defender Juan Martinez.

Martinez, who is 18 years old, is considered one of the standout talents of "La Fabrica." Although he has not yet appeared with the first team, he is regarded as one of the strong candidates to soon join the first team squad in Valdebebas, which has attracted the attention of several European clubs.

According to reports, Luis Campos, the sporting advisor for the Parisian club, has been monitoring the player for some time and has already studied his contractual situation with Real Madrid in preparation for attempting to sign him and place him under the management of coach Luis Enrique.

Despite this interest, it seems that Paris Saint-Germain's task will not be easy, as Real Madrid has secured the player's contract until 2029, with a hefty release clause of 150 million euros, meaning any potential deal will require direct negotiations between the two clubs.

If the French club decides to move seriously, it is expected to make a substantial financial offer, especially since its new policy relies on investing in young talents rather than signing established stars, a strategy that has been implemented since the arrival of Luis Campos and Luis Enrique.

Despite the potential temptations, Real Madrid is facing a clear crisis in the center-back position, especially after Eder Militao's injury, which might compel them to hold on to their young talents, including Juan Martinez, to strengthen the defense in the future.

With Paris Saint-Germain's interest and Real Madrid's desire to retain its talents, the deal remains complicated and may largely depend on the royal club's plans to rebuild its defense in the upcoming period.

If the Royal Club decides to part ways with Martinez, Real Madrid will only sell 50% of the player's rights, in addition to including clauses that give them the opportunity to repurchase the player in the future, as they have done with players like Nico Paz, Chema Andres, and Jacobo Ramon.
