Zamalek Sets Travel Date to Algeria for USM Alger Match
The Egyptian club Zamalek has finalized its travel arrangements to Algeria in preparation for facing USM Alger in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.
Egyptian media reports confirmed that the Zamalek delegation will head to Algeria next Wednesday, as part of a plan aimed at giving the players as much rest and acclimatization as possible before the anticipated match.
The club management decided to travel early to Algeria to prepare in a more comfortable atmosphere, especially since Egyptian clubs are accustomed to playing strong matches in Algerian stadiums during African tournaments, making the environment there relatively familiar to the team.
The first leg match is scheduled to take place next Saturday at the July 5 Stadium, at 9:00 PM.
On the other hand, the return match will be held at Cairo International Stadium on Saturday, May 16, at 8:00 PM Algerian time, in a decisive encounter to determine the finalist.
This comes at a time when Zamalek is going through a difficult period, having suffered a heavy defeat with three goals to nil against Al Ahly on Friday evening, as part of the Egyptian League competition. This puts the team in front of a new challenge to regain its balance before the important continental commitment.
