The sporting director of Al-Ahli Club, Rui Pedro, revealed the reasons behind his team's loss to Al-Nassr Club in the match that ended with a 2-0 defeat in the Roshan League competition.

Pedro explained, through his official Instagram account, that the team played the match at a difficult time due to differences in physical and mental readiness after a busy period of matches.

He pointed out that the swift transition from continental triumph to a tough league match was not easy, which was reflected in the players' performance during the encounter.

He affirmed that the Al Ahly club players gave their utmost on the field, emphasizing that losing remains a natural part of football.

He added that there is a need to reconsider the scheduling of matches to ensure better performance levels and improve the quality of competition between teams.

He emphasized the administration's full support for the team, while continuing to work on correcting mistakes and achieving significant progress in the upcoming phase.

Al-Ahli occupies third place in the Roshan League standings with 66 points, while Al-Nassr continues to lead the competition with 79 points.
