Manchester United Renews Kobbie Mainoo's Contract Until 2031
Manchester United Football Club has announced that midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has signed a new contract with the team, extending until 2031, putting an end to the uncertainty surrounding his future recently.
Maino, the 21-year-old English international, had agreed to an improved five-year contract before officially completing the signing procedures on Wednesday at the club's training center in Carrington.
The new contract replaces his previous one, which was set to last until the summer of 2027, with an option to extend for an additional year, before a long-term agreement was reached between the two parties.
Mainoo said in statements after signing: "Manchester United has always been my home, and this special club means everything to my family."
He added: "I grew up witnessing the impact this club has on our city, and I take pride in the responsibility that comes with wearing this jersey."
He continued: "I live my dream every day, with the same determination to succeed that I had when I joined my first training session at the age of six."
He added: "We can all feel the momentum building within the club, and I am determined to play my part in helping Manchester United regularly compete for major titles in the coming years."
It is noted that Kobbie Mainoo has played 98 matches with Manchester United so far, during which he scored 7 goals, continuing to establish himself as one of the most prominent rising talents in the team.
