Al Hilal Club requested a payment of up to 15 million euros to agree to complete the deal permanently and end its association with the player definitively.

In contrast, Barcelona did not initially object, but emphasized that any final agreement must be made through official channels and with clear and mutually agreed financial terms between the parties.

Al Hilal's management confirmed that it will not enter into any arrangements concerning ending the loan or purchasing the player's contract until reaching a final agreement that satisfies all parties, within the approved contractual framework.

Cancelo had joined Barcelona on loan from Al Hilal, as part of a previous agreement between the two clubs.
