The journalist Ahmed Shobeir revealed the difficulty of Al Ahly qualifying for the African championships next season following the heavy defeat by Pyramids in the league.
Al Ahly lost to Pyramids yesterday, Monday, with a score of 3-0 in the fourth round of the title-deciding stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
Shobeir said on his radio program on "On Sport FM" that Al Ahly's chances of finishing the season in second place and qualifying for the African Champions League seem very slim, indicating that it might require a "miracle" to achieve it.
Shobeir added that Al Ahly is also at risk of losing the opportunity to participate in the African Confederation Cup.
