Porto Coach Nominated to Coach Chelsea
Monday 27-04-2026
Porto coach Francisco Farioli has entered Chelsea's radar for taking over the team's management in the upcoming period, according to journalist Nicolo Schira on his account on platform X.

According to reports, Farioli is under contract with Porto until 2028, which includes a release clause estimated at 20 million euros (approximately 17.3 million pounds), potentially posing an obstacle for the London club's move to sign him.

This comes amid a state of technical instability within Chelsea, as the club dismissed its coach Enzo Maresca due to declining results, before hiring Liam Rosenior, who also did not last long as he was dismissed following a series of negative results.

Currently, Callum McFarlane is temporarily in charge of coaching the team until the end of the current season, pending the decision on the identity of the new coach.
