Draw Decides the Milan-Juventus Summit in the Italian League

A goalless draw imposed itself on the summit of AC Milan and Juventus, in a strong match within the 34th round of the Italian League competitions, at the San Siro stadium.

The match started at a moderate pace, with both teams exchanging control without real danger in the early minutes, before the first attempts appeared in the 10th minute through a shot by Khephren Thuram which was blocked.

In the 35th minute, Milan almost opened the scoring after an organized attack, as Adrien Rabiot fired a powerful shot that was saved by the goalkeeper, reaching Rafael Leao who shot it over the crossbar. Juventus responded quickly and succeeded in scoring a goal in the 36th minute through Thuram, but the referee canceled it due to offside.

Before the end of the first half, goalkeeper Mike Maignan shone in the 40th minute, after saving a dangerous attempt from Francisco Conceição, ending the first half with a goalless draw. With the start of the second half, the pace of the match increased, and Milan almost scored in the 51st minute after a powerful shot from Alexis Saelemaekers hit the crossbar.

Attempts continued from both sides, with Teun Koopmeiners shooting a long-range shot in the 75th minute, but it did not pose a threat to Milan's goal. The 77th minute witnessed the most dangerous moments of the match, after a strong intervention and a violent collision between Luka Modric and Manuel Locatelli, requiring medical intervention before Modric left the field affected by the injury.

In the final minutes, Juventus pressed strongly in search of a winning goal, and Dusan Vlahovic almost snatched the goal in the 93rd minute, after firing a powerful shot that Maignan saved brilliantly, but the play was stopped due to offside. The referee added 6 minutes of injury time, during which both teams made last attempts without real conversion, blowing the final whistle announcing a goalless draw.

After this result, Milan raised its tally to 67 points in third place in the Serie A standings, while Juventus raised its tally to 64 points in fourth place.
