Barcelona midfielder Pedri is approaching breaking his best scoring contribution records during his career, after reaching 11 assists this season, in addition to scoring two goals, according to press reports.

According to the reports, Pedri provided what was described as a crazy pass to his teammate Fermín López against Getafe, bringing his total to 11 assists in the current 2025/2026 season, which is the highest number he has achieved in his career so far.

Pedri also scored two goals during the current season, bringing his total direct contributions to 13 "two goals and 11 assists", with five matches remaining in the Spanish league, giving him the opportunity to surpass his previous records.

The reports explained that Pedri's best previous season in terms of scoring contributions was last season, where he scored 6 goals and provided 8 assists, totaling 14 contributions, a number he is close to matching this season.

It was also noted that the player is achieving his current numbers despite playing fewer minutes compared to last season, having played 2798 minutes in 39 matches this season, compared to 4647 minutes in 59 matches the previous season.

Pedri is considered one of the most prominent midfielders in Barcelona and has received widespread praise from fans, including rival team fans, as he received applause during the Getafe match despite his team leading in the score.

The 23-year-old player is in his sixth season with Barcelona since joining from Las Palmas in 2019, where he has continued to deliver outstanding performances in playmaking and controlling the pace of matches.

In the Getafe match, Pedri created an important goal for his teammate Fermín López after a distinguished decisive pass, and also showed a team-oriented side in one of the scenes when he preferred to pass to Robert Lewandowski instead of shooting.

Pedri's scoring numbers in recent seasons are as follows:

2025/2026: 2 goals and 11 assists "13 contributions in 2798 minutes".

2024/2025: 6 goals and 8 assists "14 contributions in 4647 minutes".

2023/2024: 4 goals and 5 assists "9 contributions in 2027 minutes".

2022/2023: 7 goals and 1 assist "8 contributions in 2715 minutes".

2021/2022: 5 goals and 1 assist "6 contributions in 1708 minutes".

Pedri is viewed as a special class midfielder, combining playmaking and scoring contributions, which was also confirmed by Barcelona coach Hans Flick, who noted that the player's style and performance make him appreciated even by rival team fans.
