Pyramids Files Complaint Against Referees of Zamalek Match
Officials of the Pyramids Club filed a complaint against the referee of the recent match against Zamalek in the league competition.
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir stated in a television interview: "Pyramids FC has lodged a complaint with the Football Association against the refereeing team of the Zamalek match, due to the club's view that they were denied two penalties during the match. The most evident was when Zico was clearly fouled by Omar Gaber just before the end of the first half, which the on-field referee did not award, nor did the video assistant referees call for a review."
He added: "As for the second penalty that was not awarded according to Pyramids' perspective, it was the ball that Walid El Karti headed, which then struck Ahmed Fattouh's arm inside the penalty area and was not awarded."
Zamalek defeated Pyramids 1-0 in a match during the third round of the Egyptian Premier League title decider.
