Real Madrid scored the opening goal through Vinicius Junior in the 17th minute, after a powerful shot from Federico Valverde rebounded from the goalkeeper, allowing Vinicius to successfully complete it into the net.

The last minutes of the first half saw a noticeable improvement in Real Betis' performance, creating several dangerous opportunities, but goalkeeper Andriy Lunin shone remarkably, saving his goal from more than one confirmed attempt.

In the second half, Real Madrid continued their attempts to enhance their lead but lacked precision in the final touch, despite the continued threat of their attacks. Meanwhile, Real Betis tried to get back into the game until they managed to snatch the equalizer in the 90+3 minute through Hector Bellerin.
