Enrique: It Was Almost a Perfect Night, and the Title Is Not Decided Yet
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique appeared in a press statement following the 3-0 victory over Nantes in the postponed match from the twenty-sixth round of the French league.
The coach said, "It was an almost perfect night. It was important to win these last matches. We deserved the victory, and we were able to see different players who don't participate much making the most of their minutes. We played a very good match."
He added, "It seems that Kvaratskhelia is more comfortable on Tuesday and Wednesday nights? (smiles) Maybe he thought it was a Champions League match (laughs). Seriously, in such moments you see the true level of the players. Kvara is a very high-level player throughout the season. This is evident in his technical abilities, as well as his character during the match, his defensive style, and his behavior."
He continued: "We talked with the players about penalty kicks this week. We have previously shown that we have players with the quality to be true scorers, but we might lack a clear specialist for taking penalty kicks. Hakimi, Joao, Beraldo... there are many. If you count, there are at least ten players who can score without being penalty specialists. Today, they chose between Ousmane, Beraldo, and Kvara as the best to take the shot. I have confidence in everyone who has this ability."
He added, "Is the league title decided tonight? This victory is important for us, but when you see what Lens is offering and the dynamics they have in the French Cup... it is important to show our desire to win again, but it will remain difficult because there are remaining matches, especially against Lens away. We know that will be tough."
"And concluded about the outstanding performance of the attackers a week before facing Bayern Munich? Yes, this is what we have been delivering throughout the season, not just now. But for me, it is more important today to talk about Beraldo, Drew, Warren Emre who played on the left side, and Zabarnyi who doesn't always participate... It's important to highlight these aspects in my view."
