Real Madrid defender Dean Housen spoke after his team’s victory over Deportivo Alaves with a score of two to one, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, as part of the Spanish League competitions, emphasizing the importance of achieving victory and continuing the competition.

Housen said in his statements: "We started the match very well, then our level dropped a bit at certain times, and this must not happen. But we managed to secure the win in the end, and we are happy with the three points."

He added: "These teams fight for survival and give 100%, even 200% of their effort. We have to match this enthusiasm. We must win all the matches. We know it’s difficult, but we have to fight for the league."

Real Madrid temporarily reduced the points gap with Barcelona to 6 points, as Barcelona will face Celta Vigo this evening, Wednesday, in the same round.
