Neres Returns to Training After Surgery
Tuesday 21-04-2026
Brazilian David Neres has returned to Napoli training after a long absence, in positive news for the technical staff led by Antonio Conte.

The player has completed the post-surgery phase on his ankle and returned to the training center 'Castel Volturno' about 85 days after the surgical intervention.

According to reports, Neres has already begun the physical rehabilitation phase, where he will undergo a gradual program to return to full readiness.

The club clarified that the player will not immediately join group training but will continue to work individually to regain his fitness after the injury he suffered in January.

The club's medical staff is handling the player's condition with great caution, especially after he suffered a previous setback with the same injury. Therefore, there is no intention to rush his return, focusing on avoiding any complications or new injuries that could affect his future.

As for his return to matches, expectations suggest he might participate in the final rounds of the season if the recovery process goes perfectly, but without any guarantees, as the club prefers to give him enough time for full recovery before officially fielding him.
