Napoli has imposed a financial penalty on its Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku amounting to 150,000 euros, which equals 20% of his total monthly salary, amid strong indications of his imminent departure during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to reports from the "Football Italia" website.

Reports indicated that Lukaku returned to Napoli after being absent from the team for over two weeks. He held a meeting with the club's manager on Monday, attended by his agent, who will be responsible for finding a new club for the player.

The report indicated that the Belgian player had left for Antwerp without permission, which prompted the club to deduct a portion of his monthly salary. However, he was later allowed to return to Belgium while maintaining the deduction.

Sources have indicated that Lukaku's departure in the summer now seems almost certain, especially with only one year remaining on his contract with the club at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The 32-year-old forward is experiencing a challenging season, having suffered a severe muscle injury at the start of the season that sidelined him for a long period. He has only scored one goal in seven matches, without any starting appearances.

According to reports, Lukaku has not held a meeting with coach Antonio Conte, while the player hopes to regain his fitness in the final weeks of the season, spending some time in Belgium to complete his recovery.
