Manchester United has reached an agreement with their young player, Kobbie Mainoo, regarding the renewal of his contract with the team, according to media reports.

According to "The Sun" newspaper, the 21-year-old player has verbally agreed to a new five-year contract following positive negotiations between the two parties, with the official announcement expected before the end of the season.

Reports indicated that Manchester United will significantly increase Mainoo's salary to approximately £150,000 per week, in recognition of his growing role with the team.

Doubts had been raised about the player's future after he was sidelined from the starting lineup during a previous period under coach Ruben Amorim. However, he has become an important element in the team under the leadership of coach Michael Carrick.

The newspaper added that the club decided to prioritize renewing Maino's contract, given their increased reliance on him in recent times.

Kobbie Mainoo participated in 25 matches with Manchester United this season across various competitions, providing 3 assists without scoring any goals.
