Football Association Decides on Foreign Referees for Al Ahly Matches Against Pyramids and Zamalek
The Egyptian Football Association has decided to appoint foreign refereeing teams to officiate the matches between Al Ahly and Pyramids, and Al Ahly and Zamalek, as part of the second stage of the Premier League to determine the champion of the competition.
According to the agreement, one of the crews will be from Spain, while the other crew will be from Italy, to manage the upcoming decisive matches in the league.
The decision to bring in foreign referees was made in response to a request from Al Ahly Club, which will bear the full costs of bringing in the teams, with the expenses to be deducted from its dues with the Egyptian Football Association.
The match between Al Ahly and Pyramids is scheduled for April 27th, while Al Ahly will face Zamalek in the Egyptian football derby on May 1st. Both matches are crucial in the race for the title.
