Real Madrid Moves to Keep Rudiger with Official Offer
Monday 20-04-2026
Real Madrid has made an official offer to renew the contract of their defender Antonio Rüdiger for one more season, in a move that reflects the management's confidence in the player's improved physical condition and technical readiness in recent times, according to journalist José Félix Díaz.

The offer aligns with the club's policy for players over 32 years old, where renewals are done annually, as previously seen with Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Nacho Fernandez. It is worth noting that the German defender's contract expires this summer.

Rüdiger has not yet made a final decision, despite expectations within the club that he will accept the offer, especially given his desire to remain with the team, even though he preferred to sign a contract for two seasons.

During the past period, the German defender received offers from the Saudi league, but he insisted on staying with Real Madrid, at a time when those offers have recently declined.

The club's management appreciates Rudiger's efforts to regain his fitness after playing for a period while physically struggling. Despite this, he continued to deliver the required performance, becoming one of the key elements in the defense line this season.

Rüdiger participated in 25 matches this season across various competitions and successfully regained his leadership role within the team's defense in recent weeks. He has played 177 matches for Real Madrid since joining in the summer of 2022.
