The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Barcelona player Fermín López returned to group training on Sunday after the serious injury he recently suffered, as part of the team's preparations to face Celta Vigo next Wednesday.

Firmin sustained a severe injury during the match against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, following a violent challenge by goalkeeper Juan Musso. This resulted in heavy bleeding from a blow to the mouth, necessitating immediate medical intervention.

Despite the severity of the injury, the player continued to participate in the match until the head coach, Hansi Flick, decided to substitute him during the second half after he had exerted significant effort on the field.

According to the report, the player participated in Sunday's training wearing a mask to protect his face due to the ongoing effects of the injury. It was noted that this mask is different from the one recently used by Robert Lewandowski after his injury.

The report indicated that the team doctor stitched the player's wound in the locker room after the match, as he was in severe pain and two of his teammates had to hold him still while he received treatment.

He also explained that Firmin had entered the match against Atletico Madrid already suffering from a wound on his forehead, due to an injury he sustained during the warm-up session before the first leg match held at Camp Nou.
