Real Sociedad's goalkeeper, Unai Marrero, spoke after his team won the Copa del Rey title against Atletico Madrid, in statements he made following the final match.

Real Sociedad claimed the title after defeating Atletico Madrid in a penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw in both regular and extra time in the final held at La Cartuja Stadium.

Marrero said, "I knew that if the match went to penalties, I was very confident in myself, and the team also believed in me, as did the fans. I am very happy and still can't believe it."

He continued: "I don't know what this means, it's true that this can't be described. All the fans who have suffered for many years, we are now living beautiful moments. We are enjoying these moments, believing and dreaming. That child who dreamed when he was young has achieved his dream."

He added: "Let them enjoy themselves and be who they are. They are an amazing and respectful crowd. I don't think there is a team like Real Sociedad."
