Tarek Hamed Rejects Tempting Offer from Pyramids
Ahmed Hassan revealed that Tarek Hamed, the former Zamalek star, had declined a lucrative offer from Pyramids, preferring to remain with the White team.
Tarek Hamed announced his retirement from football permanently yesterday, Friday, following the end of the match between Zamalek and Chabab Belouizdad in the second leg of the Confederation Cup semi-final, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
Ahmed Hassan said in statements during his program "Al Captain," broadcast on the "DMC" channel: "When I was at Pyramids, we contacted Tarek Hamed to join the club."
He added: "I remember this situation well with Tarek Hamed, and I must remind everyone of it from time to time."
He continued: "We offered Tarek Hamed three times the value of his contract with Zamalek, but he rejected Pyramids' offer and preferred to stay with the Whites."
