The Biggest Threat to Juventus in Completing the Signing of Bernardo Silva

Juventus officials in Turin see FC Barcelona as a significant threat in the race to sign Portuguese star Bernardo Silva, who has officially announced his departure from Manchester City at the end of his contract on June 30, according to the Italian newspaper 'Tutto Sport'.

Bernardo Silva, 31, is one of the most prominent targets linked with Barcelona in recent years, but the Catalan club's inability to complete the deal for financial reasons has prevented it in the past.

The report indicated that Juventus is currently the most active club in finalizing the player's deal, as they have already initiated contact with him before the Easter period, as part of a plan to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer market.

Despite this, officials of the Italian club in Turin believe that Barcelona remains a strong competitor in the deal, as the report states that the Catalan club is a real threat to Juventus' steps, especially since the player has a special attraction to Barcelona since childhood that surpasses the Italian league.

The newspaper clarified that Bernardo Silva has requested some time to determine his future, taking into account Juventus' interest, but other options are still on the table, including the American and Saudi leagues, although these offers lack the sporting dimension associated with competing for major European titles.

The Italian newspaper also pointed out that the player's salary at Manchester City was higher than what Juventus could offer, as it is expected that his potential salary cap at the Italian club will not be less than 8 to 9 million euros annually, while the maximum salaries at Juventus are around 7 million euros annually.

The newspaper mentioned that Juventus had made an offer to sign the player for three years, noting that Bernardo Silva had a successful career with Manchester City that spanned nine seasons, during which he won 19 titles, scored 76 goals, and provided 77 assists in 451 matches.

The report indicated that Juventus will not finalize its moves until securing qualification for the Champions League, as this represents financial stability, while there are still concerns within the club about the continued influence of Barcelona's allure on the player in deciding his future.
