The European Football Union announced, according to press reports, the imposition of a financial fine on Real Madrid due to events during the team's match against Bayern Munich held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The report clarified that Real Madrid exited the UEFA Champions League after losing to Bayern Munich in Munich, but the penalty issued by UEFA is not related to the return match, but to the confrontation held at the Bernabéu.

According to the European Union's announcement, the penalties included several clubs, among them Real Madrid, which was fined 20,000 euros for the delayed start of the match against Bayern Munich at the Bernabéu.

The source indicated that Arsenal and its coach Mikel Arteta were also subjected to similar penalties, but without a financial fine, as they were only given an official warning.

UEFA also imposed a financial fine on Athletic Bilbao amounting to 16,875 euros due to projectiles being thrown during their match at San Mamés Stadium, which ended in a 3-2 loss.
