Press reports revealed, according to the newspaper 'Sport', that the Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez is among the top candidates to take over coaching Inter Miami club following Javier Mascherano's departure.

This came after Mascherano's unexpected departure from his position following his resignation for personal reasons, despite leading the team to win the 2025 American League title with stars like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba.

According to the same source, Guillermo Hoyos has taken over the team temporarily, while the club owner David Beckham is still considering the new coach's profile.

The report also explained that the Argentine Marcelo Gallardo is also on the list of candidates, but there have been no official negotiations so far, as all names remain only within the scope of nominations.
