The media personality Khaled Al-Ghandour confirmed that the Egyptian Football Association is moving towards reducing the number of foreign players in the Premier League next season.

Al-Ghandour said on the "Stad Al-Mahwar" program that the most likely direction is to have only 5 players, whether over or under age, and to cancel the registration of 2 underage players. After the next season, the number will be reduced to only 4 players.

The Football Association is organizing registration rules for the upcoming season, which include requiring lower division clubs to adjust their status to reduce the number of foreign players to 3 in the second division and only 1 in the third division.

Al-Ghandour clarified in conclusion that these proposals are currently under study between the Football Association and the Players' Affairs Committee, and an official decision regarding them is expected to be made in the coming days.
