Barcelona club president Joan Laporta complained about the refereeing decisions during the team's match against Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, following the team's exit from the tournament despite winning the second leg.

Barcelona was eliminated from the UEFA Champions League despite defeating Atlético Madrid 2-1 in the second leg of the quarter-finals, but the aggregate loss of 3-2 ended their continental journey.

In his statements, Laporta said: 'It's a disgrace and unacceptable, the refereeing yesterday both on the field and in the video technology room was a disgrace and what they did to us is intolerable.'

He added: 'In the first leg, they did not award us a clear penalty, and they sent off one of our players for an offense that only warranted a yellow card.'

The Barcelona president continued: 'The refereeing decisions harmed us greatly, Eric Garcia was not the last man because Koundé could have reached the ball, and the correct decision was a yellow card, but the video referee insisted on canceling the decision.'

Laporta continued his statements: 'Ferran Torres' goal was legitimate, the challenge on Dani Olmo was a clear penalty, and what happened with Fermín was an intolerable challenge, as he suffered a clear facial injury and no card was issued.'

The Barcelona club president concluded his statements by saying: 'It is unacceptable to file a complaint, but the response was that it is unacceptable, and we at Barcelona are only asking for clarifications on the reasons for not accepting the complaint, and Yuste told me they will submit another request, it's an unbearable disgrace.'
