Real Madrid holds onto historical numbers and statistics to achieve the comeback against Bayern Munich in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals in Munich, after losing the first leg 2-1.

The royal team is preparing to travel to Germany on Tuesday, where they will face the decisive match at the Allianz Arena, which will determine the team's future in the continental championship.

According to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo', Real Madrid is sending motivational messages within the team, even though the recent performance was not up to the required standard, after a 1-1 draw against Girona at the Santiago Bernabéu in the Spanish League, which caused a state of anger within the club.

The newspaper pointed out that the royal club relied on the history of its results at Bayern Munich's stadium, where it succeeded in achieving positive results in three out of the last four visits, which were enough to at least extend the confrontation to extra time.

The newspaper added that Real Madrid, except for the 2023/2024 season match that ended in a 2-2 draw, achieved strong results in its previous visits, winning 2-1 in the 2017/2018 and 2016/2017 seasons, and achieved a big 4-0 victory in the 2013/2014 season, in the match that was played under Pep Guardiola's leadership, leading the team to the Lisbon final.

In the 2017 and 2018 seasons, the victories came with goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo, and Marco Asensio, while those encounters were played in a two-legged system with qualification decided at the Bernabéu.

The situation is different this time, as Real Madrid enters a crucial match in Munich, either to end its season early in April or to continue the journey towards competing for the continental title until the final stages of the UEFA Champions League.
