Barcelona achieved a major victory over Espanyol with a score of 4-1, in the match that brought them together in the 31st round of the Spanish League, at Spotify Camp Nou.

Barcelona opened the scoring early through Ferran Torres in the 9th minute, before the same player returned to add the second goal in the 25th minute, ending the first half with a clean double lead.

In the second half, Espanyol reduced the gap after Pol Lozano scored his team's first goal in the 56th minute, bringing the match back into competition.

However, Barcelona decided the encounter in the final minutes, as Lamine Yamal added the third goal in the 87th minute, before Marcus Rashford completed the quartet in the 89th minute.

With this result, Barcelona raised its tally to 79 points at the top of the Spanish League standings, while Espanyol's tally froze at 38 points in tenth place.
