The French newspaper L'Équipe revealed that AS Monaco is considering activating the option to purchase Spanish player Ansu Fati, who is on loan from FC Barcelona, for 11 million euros.

According to the report, the French club is seriously considering activating the purchase clause stipulated in the agreement, with a positive desire from the player himself. However, reaching a financial agreement between the two parties remains a fundamental condition before any final step.

The newspaper explained that Ansu Fati is performing well with Monaco, having scored 9 goals in less than 1,000 minutes of play, despite not being a regular starter and rotating between the starting lineup and the bench.

The report added that the player still has more than a month before the end of the loan period, at a time when the final decision has not yet been made, especially as Monaco is waiting to determine his status at the end of the season amid the battle for qualification to the Champions League.

The report indicated that Fati's salary is 250,000 euros net per month, a figure that does not align with the club's financial policy, which may necessitate renegotiation if the player wishes to remain permanently with the French team.
