Officially... Real Madrid Denies Appointing a New Sporting Director
Friday 10-04-2026
Real Madrid announced in an official statement that it does not intend to make any changes to its administrative structure in the upcoming phase, nor will there be any amendments to the current strategy adopted by the club, as the management is convinced of its effectiveness and stability.

The royal club stated in its statement: "Real Madrid Football Club announces that the information broadcast by the program 'El Larguero' on Cadena SER radio last night, claiming that the club is considering adding a sporting director to its structure, is completely unfounded.

It added: "Real Madrid highly values the work done by the club's sports management, which has enabled us to experience one of the most successful periods in our history, where we have won many titles, including six Champions League titles in ten years."

Reports had claimed that the club was considering appointing a sporting director for the next season, especially in light of the conflict within Real Madrid's management between Anas Al-Gharari, close to Florentino Perez, and José Ángel Sánchez, the general manager, which has led to a halt in any sports planning for the upcoming season.
