Italian press reports revealed Inter Milan's direction to retain their Turkish midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu, amid increasing doubts about his future in recent times and interest from other clubs in signing him.

According to 'Football Italia', the Turkish club Galatasaray has moved to sign the player, whose contract with Inter Milan extends until the summer of 2027, which is the end of the next season. However, the Italian club's management does not intend to give up his services during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report indicated that Inter is ready to counter the Turkish club's attempts, as they did last summer, preferring to keep the player until the end of his contract, especially after his long career in Milan, having played 5 seasons with Inter and 4 seasons with Milan.

Inter's management was previously open to the idea of selling Calhanoglu, but the impressive performances he has recently delivered have changed the club's stance, now seeing him as a key and reliable leader in midfield.

The 32-year-old player has participated in 27 matches with Inter Milan this season across various competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists, which enhances the importance of his continued presence within the team in the upcoming phase.
