Juventus Moves to Sign Goretzka with Direct Talks via Senesi Deal
Thursday 09-04-2026
Juventus continues its moves in the transfer market in preparation for the next season, as it has strongly entered the race to sign the German star Leon Goretzka, a player from Bayern Munich.

The Italian newspaper Tuttosport indicates that there have been initial contacts with the player's agents, amid expectations of his departure at the end of the season with the expiration of his contract, amidst interest from several clubs.

These communications benefited from other negotiations conducted by Juventus, as the club took advantage of its talks regarding defender Marcos Senesi to open discussions with the same agency representing Goretzka, which facilitated the start of direct communication with the player's entourage.

Coach Luciano Spalletti is closely monitoring the situation, as he sees Goretzka as a strong addition to the midfield due to his experience and physical strength. However, the deal will not be easy amid fierce competition from other Italian and European clubs, most notably AC Milan and some Premier League clubs.

Although the deal might be tempting, especially if it happens without a transfer fee, the player's high salary (around 7 million euros annually) is one of the main challenges for Juventus, making the conclusion of the deal dependent on the club's financial situation and its competition with rivals in the coming weeks.
