In the final minutes, there were strong objections from Al Ahly players to referee Mahmoud Wafa's decisions, with El Shenawy appearing to attempt to assault the officiating team, prompting the referee to show him a yellow card followed by a red card.

According to media reports, El-Shenawy is at risk of being suspended for a period ranging from 4 to 6 matches due to his behavior following the match, pending the official decision from the relevant authorities.
