Inter Milan's management is preparing to secure the future of its coach Cristian Chivu by offering him a new contract in the coming period, given their great confidence in his abilities to lead the team in the long term.

Chivu took over coaching Inter Milan before the start of the current season, succeeding Simone Inzaghi who left to coach Al Hilal Saudi Club, and he succeeded in delivering a strong domestic season, as the team is close to winning the Italian league title after widening the lead at the top by 7 points, despite their exit from the Champions League competition.

The Italian newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reported that there are no official negotiations underway at the moment, but the Nerazzurri management has full confidence in the Romanian coach, with a plan to extend his contract until 2028 after the end of the season.

In a related context, Inter Milan plans to support Chivu during the summer transfer market by signing players he has identified to strengthen the team, with both Manu Koné from Roma and Moussa Diaby from Al Ittihad Saudi Club being among the top targets.

The report indicated that Oaktree Capital, the club's owner, has allocated a transfer budget estimated at 40 million euros, with the possibility of the management resorting to selling some players, including Alessandro Bastoni, to provide additional financial liquidity to support the reinforcement plans.
