Disciplinary Committee Shocks Al-Ittihad by Suspending Team Star for Two Matches
The Al-Ittihad team received a major blow after it was confirmed that their French winger, Moussa Diaby, will miss two matches in the Saudi Roshn League, following an official decision by the Disciplinary Committee.
The penalty came after Diaby was sent off during the recent match against Al-Hazm, following behavior deemed unsportsmanlike towards a player from the opposing team, in a game that ended with Al-Ittihad winning 1-0.
The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee approved the decision to suspend for two matches, including the automatic suspension resulting from the direct red card the player received during the match.
The decision was based on the player's violation of Article (2-1-48) of the Disciplinary Regulations, with a financial penalty of 30,000 riyals imposed, emphasizing that the punishment is final and not subject to appeal.
Diaby will miss the anticipated match against Al-Ittihad in the 29th round of the league, representing a clear technical loss for the team.
The match will be held at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah on Wednesday evening at nine o'clock, with Al-Ittihad currently in sixth place with 45 points after 27 rounds.
