Real Madrid suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to their guest Bayern Munich in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. The match took place at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, with the return leg scheduled for next Wednesday at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich started the match with early pressure, as Konrad Laimer fired a powerful shot over the goal in the opening minutes. Diaz then launched a powerful shot that found the back of the net past goalkeeper Lunin, ending the first half with the Bavarians in the lead.

At the start of the second half, Bayern Munich scored a second goal after a quick attack that ended with a pass from Ulises to Harry Kane, who shot it from outside the penalty area into Lunin's net. Then, in the 55th minute, Ulises struck a powerful shot that Lunin saved. Vinicius then missed a clear goal opportunity after a mistake by Upamecano, allowing him to go one-on-one with Neuer, but he placed the ball into the side netting in the 60th minute.

Then Ulysses launched a brilliant shot just over the goal, and Luis Diaz almost added a third goal, but Arnold cleared his ball from in front of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Vinicius almost scored the equalizer, but Neuer was ready. Meanwhile, Musiala nearly snatched a third goal, but his shot went just wide of the goal. Then, Mbappe missed a clear goal-scoring opportunity with a shot that went slightly wide in the 89th minute, ending the match with Bayern Munich winning 2-1.
