Resolution of the Crisis Between Ahmed Fatouh and Zamalek Coach
Tuesday 07-04-2026
The journalist Gamal El-Ghandour revealed the resolution of the conflict that arose between Ahmed Fattouh, the Zamalek player, and Moatamed Gamal, the club's head coach.

Fetouh objected to being substituted in the match against Al-Masry in the league competition, which ended with a 4-1 victory for the Whites.

Al-Ghandour explained on his program "Stad Al-Mehwar" that Moatamed Gamal held a session with the player after the match and explained to him the reasons for the substitution decision, emphasizing that the aim was to protect him from fatigue before the anticipated encounter against Algeria's CR Belouizdad in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final.

He pointed out that Fathouh understood Moatamed Gamal's perspective, emphasizing that his reaction was driven by enthusiasm and his desire to continue the match, not as an objection to the technical decision.

The football director, Abdel Nasser Mohamed, took the initiative to intervene to calm the situation and contain the player, emphasizing the strong bonds and understanding within the team. He also completely denied the rumors about Fattouh refusing to shake hands at the moment of his substitution.
