Four Absences for Barcelona Before Facing Atletico Madrid
Barcelona continues its preparations to face Atletico Madrid in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, with defender Ronald Araujo ready, while Frenkie de Jong remains absent.
The Catalan team held their final training session on Tuesday morning ahead of the anticipated match, under the leadership of coach Hans Flick, which will take place on Wednesday evening at 9:00 PM Cairo time.
The training session, which started at 11:40, saw the participation of all available players, including Araujo, while Raphinha, Marc Bernal, and Andreas Christensen were absent due to injury, along with De Jong who did not join the group training.
According to "Mundo Deportivo," the Dutch player is nearing full recovery, but he will not be present for the first leg. The coaching staff plans to include him in the squad for the Espanyol match and give him some minutes, in preparation for his full return before the second leg at the Metropolitano Stadium.
The training session also saw the participation of several reserve team players, including Xavi Espart, Tommy Marquez, Curtis, and Cuchin, as part of completing the team roster during the final preparations.
